Dr. David Sarraf has been a UCLA faculty member at the Jules Stein Eye Institute for over 5 years. He is a board certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in the area of retinal disease. His practice at UCLA centers on the diagnosis and the medical and laser treatments of a broad spectrum of retinal diseases including macular degeneration and dystrophy, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusion, and retinitis pigmentosa. Dr. Sarraf is engaged in clinical research and has identified various novel syndromes and features of retinal disease and has helped to better define the clinical utility of novel imaging and laser technologies in the retinal field. Dr. Sarraf is an avid teacher and supervises various conferences for the Jules Stein residents and fellows and UCLA medical students and has published several chapters, reviews and teaching aids dedicated to retinal disease.
