Detailed Biography:

Dr. Rajan Kulkarni's research is focused on the development of tools for understanding both cancer heterogeneity and single-cell heterogeneity in tumors and in circulating tumor cells that break off of the main cancer. Kulkarni has worked on developing Vortex Chip for rapid isolation of circulating tumor cells and towards understanding genomic and transcriptomic variability in individual cells, and he has developed advanced tumor clearing techniques for high-resolution 3D imaging of tumors (passive clarity technique, or PACT).
