The Division of NanoMedicine will serve as an information base about the utility of Nanoscience to the practice of Medicine.
This includes an important training mission for physicians and physician-scientists and has already secured a UC Lead Campus award for Nanobiology/Nanotoxicology Research and Training with Graduate Training and Coursework in place.
The Division will leverage research developments in the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) to advance diagnosis, imaging, biosensoring and drug delivery in the field of Medicine.
The Division will continue world-class research in the area of nanomaterial safety and biocompatibility while also developing cutting-edge diagnostics and drug delivery systems that will advance the UCLA Biomedical enterprise to one of the preeminent NanoMedicine Centers in the world.
