Detailed Biography:

Dr. Kang is Associate Professor in the Sections of Endodontics and Oral Biology. He completed B.S./M.S. degrees in Biochemistry in 1995 at UCLA, and D.D.S./Ph.D. degrees at UCLA in 2001. He also commpleted his residency training in Endodontics at UCLA in 2003. Dr. Kang joined the faculty in the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2003. During the course of his study, Dr. Kang received numerous research awards, such as the Hatton Awards and the Morita Junior Investigator Awards from the International Association of Dental Research. He is a former fellow of the Endodontic Educator Program sponsored by the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Kang was recently appointed the first Jack Weichman Endowed Chair of Endodontics.
