A Short Biography:

Dr. Hartenbower has undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. After medical residency he completed a nephrology fellowship and then was a Clinical Investigator at Wadsworth VA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has an interest in provision of health care and has served as President of the Los Angeles Foundation for Medical Care and as board member of the Health Care Association of Southern California, the California Hospital Association and as Chair, the California Association of Medical Groups. He currently practices internal medicine and nephrology and is the Outreach Medical Director for UCLA Health System. Dr. Hartenbower is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA. He is a former Chief of Staff at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center.
