Detailed Biography:

Rajalingam Raja is an Immunologist who has served on the UCLA School of Medicine faculty since he joined the UCLA Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in 2002. He is the Associate Director of the UCLA Immunogenetics Center. Dr. Rajalingam earned his Ph.D. in Immunogenetics at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, where he worked on the biology of natural killer (NK) cells. His laboratory research centers on understanding the complex relationship between polymorphic NK cell receptors and HLA class I ligands in human health and disease.
