Stewart A Laidlaw, Ph.D.

A Short Biography:

As an IRB professional for over twenty years, and an educator with an interest in outreach to underrepresented populations, I have the temperament to head the continuing education component of the UCLA CTSI. I have developed and implemented extensive continuing education training at LA BioMed, using a variety of platforms, including newsletters, intra- and internet sources and employing Powerpoint and streaming video modalities. I have also served on panels developing national accreditation standards for human research, as well as training materials for IRB members. It is crucial to the success of the UCLA CTSI that outreach be extensive, cohesive and facile to encourage an ongoing self education process both within and outwith the academic setting.
