Research Interest:
Dr. Paglia has phased out both surgical path clinical work and chairing the pathology teaching programs to concentrate on running the UCLA Hematology Research Lab, now almost exclusively focused on metabolic problems of high morbidity and mortality threatening two species of rhinoceroses in captivity. He has included comparative field studies in 1994 as Fulbright Sr. He has become a research Fellow with game capture teams in southern Africa. He has also become an emeritus last year to coordinate multidisciplinary/institutional research projects for International Rhino Foundation.
