A Short Biography:
Curtis Holt received his BS in biology at the University of California (Revelle College), San Diego and then completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. Following a general clinical residency at UCSF, Dr. Holt completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of California, Los Angeles. Since that time he has practiced as a Transplant Pharmacist Specialist at UCLA Medical Center, where he is now a Clinical Professor of Surgery with the Division of Liver and Pancreas Transplantation, UCLA School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of Clinical Research for the Dumont-UCLA Transplant Program and the Dumont-UCLA Pharmacokinetics Laboratory were his primary responsibilities are to initiate, manage, analyze data, and publish results from single or multi-center trials with which he is involved. Furthermore, Dr. Holt has an active role in training pharmacy fellows and specialty transplant residents, as well as teaching fourth year pharmacy students. He currently is an Clinical Professor of Pharmacy with the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy, and has been fortunate to have received five teaching awards since his appointment with UCSF in 1993.
