Detailed Biography:

Cognitive neuroscience, hemispheric specialization, neurolinguistics, neuropsychology We study cognitive neuroscience via hemispheric specialization and interhemispheric interaction during attention, perception, action, emotions and language. We study normal subjects, split brain patients, brain-damaged patients, and special clinical populations, including schizophrenia, dyslexia, and ADHD. We use convergent approaches, including behavior, physiolgy (brain imaging), and anatomy. Special research topics include right hemisphere language, the channels of the corpus callosum, and consciousness, with particular attention to error monitoring and concepts of self in the two hemispheres.
