Dr. Kieffer has been a Full Professor at the Universite Louis Pasteur since 1994. Since 2006, she has been the Research Director at INSERM. Currently, Dr. Kieffer is a Visiting Professor at UCLA as well as the Chairman of the Department for Neurobiology and Genetics and Group Leader at IGBMC (Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology.
