Victor Chaban, Ph.D.

A Short Biography:

Dr. Victor V. Chaban is Professor of Medicine with dual faculty appointment at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Chaban completed his post-doctoral training in Neuroscience at UCLA and graduate studies in Clinical Research at CDU. His area of expertise is signal transduction mechanisms of nociception associated with clinical presentations of visceral pain in patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Painful Bladder Syndrome, Chronic Pelvic Pain and others. Dr. Chaban is a member of National Institute of Health and several international study sections. Dr. Chaban serves as Executive Editor for Journal of Autacoids and Hormones and Editor In Chief for the International Journal of Research in Nursing. He is an author of new book: “Unraveling the Enigma of Visceral Pain” by Nova Publishers, N.Y. 2016 and editor of another book: “Irritable Bowel Syndrome: New Concepts for Research and Treatments” by InTech, 2017.
