Emergency Medicine

The Emergency Medicine Center (EMC) is a comprehensive emergency facility staffed to provide 24-hour response to the emergency care needs of the community. The EMC nursing and physician staff are prepared to care for critically ill or injured patients as well as those with minor illnesses or injuries. Through the EMC, consultation with UCLA's specialty services can be obtained on an emergency basis. UCLA Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Pediatric Critical Care Center.
